ColorMorph is a useful tool to help you choose
colors that tie, one to another. From one color through to a
final color, as the first "morphs" to the second.
ColorMorph can be used to help, for example, with a display of
fabric, either in the order the fabric is lain out in a retail
outlet, or as sewn together in clothing or as part of a quilt.
Web design would benefit from an attractive spread of colors
between principle design colors.
There are three major features: the Color Morph Wheel, the Color
Morph Band, and a Standard Color Wheel. In addition there is a
Color Picker that allows one to choose a full compliment of
colors. Tint may be applied to the colors of the Color Morph
Wheel and the Standard Color Wheel to lighten or darken the
wheels colors.
Drag and drop makes ColorMorph easy to use. Simply drag a color
from the Color Pickers Band over any Color Morph Wheel section
and let go. Colors are automatically spread between existing
colors. Many colors may be dropped on each wheel. Colors may be
moved about via drag and drop. A large number of colors may be
stored in the Color Pickers Color Band and pre-selected colors
are available from the Color Swatch.
Colors spreads may be saved, restored, or printed. One may copy
colors from ColorMorph to another application via cut and paste.
You can generate a report of RGB components. The program is well
documented, with well written help (in English) and pop up help
features.
A cardboard color wheel normally displays 24 colors. This
standard set of colors is provided in the Color Pickers Color
Band. The Standard Color Wheel of ColorMorph will display as few
as 3 and as many and 96 colors; organized in historical order.
In addition, an option of the Color Swatch, displays 192 color
wheel ordered colors, and variations of tint.
ColorMorph requires Microsoft Dot Net Framework 2.0. It will be
downloaded and installed during the installation, if not
currently installed on your machine.
